E-Tables Change the Face of Roulette for Land Casinos 18.11.2012

There are plenty of legal issues that casinos have to face but one of the major obstacles for land-based casinos in some states in the US is that the casinos are not allowed to offer games which are considered higher-risk games such as roulette and craps. Many gamblers feel that gambling is gambling and if one form is considered legal than other forms should be too.

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Florida is the 4th largest casino in the US and the world’s 6th largest. It is doing its best to satisfy players who enjoy high-risk roulette games by offering them in a new format which use the latest technology. The casino has found a legal loophole that will allow gamblers to wager on roulette games through new E-Tables.

E-Tables are technically classified in the same legal category as slot machines which make them legal in any place that is allowed to operate slots games. The tables use mechanical operations instead of human dealers and the ball is spun around the wheel using compressed air. Up to 12 players can sit at each table and place bets using the touch-screen table. As of now the casino has installed two E-Tables but since players are already lining up and waiting to get a seat at these tables, the casino may bring in more.

The E-Tables are just one of the casinos ways of attracting new players. It is conveniently located only an hour from Disney World.
