Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) in Singapore is a resort that includes two casinos, hotels, a spa, Universal Studios Singapore and more. It is a hip destination for many wealthy gamblers and one of the most expensive casino properties in the world, costing nearly $5 billion. One of the goals of RWS is to make sure that every visitor has the best experience possible and the resort goes above and beyond to ensure this but the RWS casinos will certainly not stand for any cheating in the casino and since all guest need to pay an entrance or membership fee, the casino keeps detailed records on everyone that enters.

Back in 2010, three French citizens were playing roulette in one of the RWS casinos and were accused of cheating on two separate dates during March and April. The men, Reynald Georges Victor Lasnel, 63, Farbrice Thierry Laurent Michel, 48, and Lopez Pintado Jose, 65, allegedly cheated the casino out of $13,400 by placing bets after the winning number was known.

Although all three men were arrested and charged at the time of the incident, a Singapore court allowed the men to post bail but impounded each man’s passport. However, this was not enough to stop the men from fleeing Singapore. It seems that for 2 years the men were able to avoid being caught by any authorities but just recently Lasnel was caught in Germany through the assistance of Interpol and German authorities. Lasnel was then extradited back to Singapore to face his charges in court while the other two men still remain at large.
