Zynga Partners with Bwin.Party For Real Money Gaming 07.11.2012

Zynga is a company well-known for designing and launching many of today’s most popular free social games including FarmVille, Mafia Wars and Words with Friends. It also hosts Zynga Poker which is one of the world’s largest free-to-play online poker games. However, Zynga is about to venture into the world of real money gaming and has inked a deal to partner with casino gaming giant bwin.party.

The two companies are set to launch real money internet poker plus a selection of 180 casino games which will includes roulette games, slots games and blackjack games to UK players since real money gaming is permitted by law. Fans of games designed by both companies are in for a real treat as they will have the best of both worlds. One of the casino games that will debut in 2013 will be a slot game based on Zynga’s Farmville game and Zynga’s poker players will become members of bwin.party’s player base.

Lately, Zynga has suffered from falling stock prices. In an effort to help the company recover, it has chosen to pull some of its lower-preforming social games and has had to cut 5% of its employees. However, Zynga strongly believes that real-money gaming could give the company the boost it really needs. Executive Vice President of Corporate and Business Development Barry Cottle said: “Partnering with an established leader like bwin.party is a strategic and prudent way for us to enter a key RMG market while giving local players the real money games they’ve been asking us for.”
