Online gaming giant Zynga has launched a new gaming platform which is separate from the games platform they use when providing games for Facebook users. The new platform has a dedicated site called Zynga.com. The site is still in its beta version but is already looks promising with its clean layout and easy to find and access games.

The idea behind the new site is to enable players to access the Zynga games they wish to play without the need to login to their Facebook account. Currently the platform offers five of the most popular games Zynga offers, including Zynga Poker, but still requires players to login via their Facebook account but without the need to visit Facebook itself.

Market analysts believe that Zynga is targeting the Real Money gaming market by incorporating casino games played for real money wagers into its product line. Zynga is not the only company recognizing the enormous potential in the online gambling industry, Facebook has also announced plans to venture into the real money gaming market.

Both these companies have witnessed the online casino and poker industries enjoying growth even at times of economic downturn and a heavy recession felt in many countries in Europe and North America.

Furthermore the emergence of stronger economic markets in Asia has led many gaming companies to target their products to Asia players that are recognized all over the world as avid gamblers. Both Zynga and Facebook are expected to try and cash in on their popularity in Asia by offering Asian players a gaming environment that combines social activity with online gaming and gambling.
