Roulette Tips

Roulette School

Roulette is a popular casino game that is very exciting to play and very easy to learn. The reason it can be mastered by everyone is that it is a game that is based solely on luck and does not require complicated playing techniques and strategies like blackjack or poker.

Although it is a game that is based on chance and there is no way of predicting the outcome of a betting round, there are a few basic roulette tips you can follow in order to optimize play and ensure you have a fun and rewarding gambling session.

Firstly before we provide you with basic roulette tips it is crucial that you make a decision as to your roulette playing session budget and stick to it. This way whether you win or lose, you will be able to have fun and not feel like you outstretched yourself.

We do not have a recommendation as to what your gambling session budget should be. That depends on your financial situation. One person can spend $50 playing roulette for two hours for small stakes, while someone wealthier will want to play roulette for two hours and wager $50 on every round of play within the fixed playing session because they can afford to do so.

Secondly we suggest that you select playing at a roulette table that has minimum and maximum betting limits that suit your budget. This will ensure that you have a long playing session.

The next tip is to spread your bets. Many people see roulette as an opportunity to play their lucky number, birthdays, anniversaries and other significant dates. This type of betting is great fun but if you do this and in addition also spread your bets wisely, you stand a better chance of winning.

In addition make the bulk of your betting on ‘even money’ and other outside bets. They offer lower payouts but higher probability of winning the bet.

Stick to playing European roulette as it offer better odds than American roulette. In fact the house edge in European roulette for ‘Straight-up’ bets is lower by almost half compare to American roulette (2.70% compared with 5.26%). Also opt to play European roulette that offer the ‘En Prison’ and ‘La Partage’ rules as it lowers the house edge even further.

Finally try not to put your winnings back into play. Make wagers and if you win, take most of your winnings and exclude them from the rest of your playing budget for that session. Do not use winnings to increase your playing budget for that session. Keep that money for another day’s play or withdraw it from your casino account.
